Where am I at?

       I am a senior at Qatar University, I always get really exited when someone asks me when will I graduate and I respond that it is my last year. My experience throughout the years in QU, have been one of the most establishing and beneficial years in my life. Being part of QU’s community have helped me develop a lot of knowledge, and gain so much experiences as a student. Furthermore, I feel really fortunate to be an English student, the DELL department in my opinion is the best department in QU. They really care about their student’s interests, and they always trying to do their best to help us with all of our needs. Whenever we need guides with our study planes, or even with writing our essays, the department staff is always more that happy to help. I have been a Business major student in my first two years in the university, and I can say that those two years were the worst. I am really grateful and happy, that I was able to change my major and join the DELL family.

            I have faced so many challenges in my first two years at QU, I was feeling lost and insecure. Coming into a new atmosphere that I knew almost nothing about, and had no friends to get comfort from was really scary. In addition, having to figure out what I would like to study as a major was the toughest challenge I had to face as a new student. QU at the time did not offer many services to the student, especially to the newcomers. My needs as a new student in the university is to be acknowledged about what challenges will await me in the future, and to be introduced correctly to all the options offered by the university. Unfortunately, in my case, I had to go throw those challenges on my own; in result I had to change my major three times. Thus, giving myself an extra year at the university. However, since I have changed my major to English, all of my needs have been meet. Qatar University have listened to it students need, and worked so hard to provide the best programs for them. Today, Qatar University have become one of the best universities in Qatar, and the most recognized.
